By now, I’m sure just about everyone has seen the Bugs Bunny “I Wish” meme.
In the social media circles I run in, I’ve now seen Bugs wish both good and bad things for fans of certain sports teams, binge watchers of elect television shows, and every possible population subset of politics and economics, among myriad other topics.

What I hadn’t seen much of within this particular meme’s universe were ideas related to urbanism and city building. So I fired up a meme generator and made a few:

Active transportation meme.

Density and parking meme.

Placemaking meme.
I aimed for fun, light, and stupid, and just enjoyed it.
It’s easy to get bogged down in the seriousness and stakes that working in this field entails. People’s lives and livelihoods are impacted by the plans and decisions that get made about what to give resources to, where to give them, and who to give them for.
So it’s important to lighten the mood once in awhile. And Bugs Bunny, it turns out, has some pretty good ideas about city planning.
